Welcome

Thank you for visiting the FHSP Web Page!  We have a lot of exciting things planned for Harmonie State Park – we need YOUR HELP to get them all accomplished!  Please consider donating to FHSP!

Welcome to the official website of Friends of Harmonie State Park!  Harmonie State Park is located on the banks of the Wabash 25 miles northwest of Evansville Indiana and next to Historic New Harmony Indiana.  Harmonie State Park has a great campground, beautiful swimming pool, shady picnic areas, ravines, pristine landscapes, and your favorite fishing holes.  We hope you come visit soon!

For those of you that call Harmonie State Park your second home, you know how special it is.  Just like the Board of Friends of Harmonie State Park, I am sure you have fond memories of time spent here.  Whether your memories are from camping, having a picnic on the banks of the Wabash, or just driving through the park to look at the deer – whatever your reason, we hope you continue to visit and support OUR park!  If we all join together we can make it a park our kids and grandkids will use for years to come. We’ve done a lot of great things so far, but we have so much more planned and we need more supporters to make them happen!

We are excited about all of the things we’ve made happen so far – between fundraisers and donations we’ve raised nearly $60,000 – and we’re just getting started!  We are beginning work on the Outdoor Education Pavilion – the biggest addition to the park in years!  To help fund this, we have instituted a Brick Program!  For a $100 donation, your name will  be put on a brick that will be installed in the entrance to the Outdoor Education Pavilion.  Click here for the donation form!

Check out our News/Events page to learn about Movie Nights, Luau, Concerts, Craft Fair, and many more of the great programs planned at Harmonie State Park!

Check out our newsletters to see what we’ve accomplished so far! We hope you  like what you see and want to become a part of our amazing group!  Join us at our next meeting, June 6 at 9:00pm in the Mt. Vernon Fire Department Meeting Room.  We hope to see you there!
